Portait by Renoir
5:52 AM
While out at the Parque de Attraciones mini-Andy managed to get a few portraits done.
The first was by a machine that takes photographs and then draws them. mini-Andy couldn't resist jumping in and seeing how it worked.
It was a very clever machine that costs 2 Euros and it draws you and everything! Wow!
So mini-Andy jumped into the seat, adjusted it for height, put in 2 Euros, selected the Renoir black and white charcoal setting, and waited for a few minutes...
At first the results didn't look too promising...
But then the digital hand started to colour in our mini-Hero
His black work suit was starting to shape up
The digital hand then started to add colour to the cheeks of our mini-Adventurer
At first it looked like our mini-Artistic model was suffering from patches of Vitiligo
but with a little more black, mini-Andy slowly turned into a ninja
WHAT ARE YOU DOING DIGITAL RENOIR!?! You've destroyed mini-Andy's Massive Smile ™
It started to look a little like Digital Renoir had lost his mind as he started to paint most of the features off of mini-Andy's black and white digital representation
For a while all you could see was a pair of white eyes peeking out through a large blob of black and a vaguely discernible tie. As Digital Renoir added a little digital fuzz around mini-Andy, he had to wonder whether Digital Renoir had also got a free hat earlier that day.
Seemingly random blobs of black started to appear around our mini-Art Model and mini-Andy had to check if he did indeed have random bits of fluff attached to his otherwise immaculate clothing.
As the amount of strange grey fluff increased, mini-Andy got more and more self-conscious and began to think that perhaps he should take his suit to the dry cleaners.
It took a while for mini-Andy to figure out that Digital Renoir HADN'T actually made a mistake at all! Of course he wouldn't do that - he's a professional!
Digital Renoir had been leading us up the garden path all this time! Good old Digital Renoir. What a character, thought mini-Andy, as a grey smudgy halo appeared in the background.
Digital Renoir then made the artistic decision to cross out one of mini-Andy's eyes and make him look a bit like a pirate. Of course, he's the artist so he must know best...
Our mini-Adventurer couldn't help noticing how much he was starting to look like a vicar.
After a number of bizarre transformations, Digital Renoir decided enough was enough and added a few finishing touches to mini-Andy's nose
Digital Renoir signed his masterpiece, then tore the page out of his sketchbook.
mini-Andy took it, shook his digital hand and rolled the picture up under his arm trying not to say out loud what he really thought...
